“The spirits are certain hidden forces , who will not willingly serve unless you make an alliance and unite with the strength of an agreement (pactum) by means of a special character from Sigambach, or his secretary Rabidmadar with the intention spelled out.”
-Clavicula Salomonis de Secretis
The text above describes an insignia you must carry in order to work with the Chthonic spirits (infernal, earthly, and aquatic daemons). It acts as a badge “clearly indicating you as a friend and lawful master” of the spirits (amicum et iustum dominum ostenderis). The mark of the pact is known among practitioners and academics of Western Solomonic magic but largely unknown outside these inner circles. Wear it on its own or dress it up with a sports jacket for understated look.
Consecration Instructions: Machine wash cold with holy water, tumble dry low, suffumigate with incense.
Excerpt (translated from the French):
BEFORE you can succeed in the following operations, it is necessary to make the following figure, written on virgin parchment with your blood or with that of a male sea Turtle, put the first letter of your Name in Circle A, and the first letter of your Surname in semi-circle B. For the best results, engrave these characters on an Emerald, on a Ruby, or on a piece of Red Marble, or even on a piece of Heliotrope which is a stone that has great compatibility with the Solar Spirits, and especially with those who are gentler than the others; If a women is to perform the operation, let her carry it [the stone] in her left pocket, or between her breasts; let the man write this figure on the day of Mars: the woman can engrave it on all other days.
